perceptions of themselves and celebrate the bicentennial of Charles
Dickens's birth. In addition to scintillating presentations and discussions,
the conference will offer a showing of a rare 1917 film of A Tale of Two
Cities and a Dickens variety show, including a professional performance of
Dickens's "Sikes and Nancy."
